Personnel Committee

(A)  Purpose: To hear recommendations from the City Administrator and Human Resources personnel regarding personnel issues. This may include input from the Department Heads and the Treasurer. The committee will send the recommendations to the City Council through the City Administrator.

(B) Composition and meeting frequency: Three members of Council as appointed by the Mayor. The committee meets on an as-needed basis but at least one time per year to approve the Organizational Chart to be submitted to the City Council. These meetings are confidential and not open to the public. Two voting members shall constitute a quorum.

(C) Qualifications: Mayoral recommendation based on confidentiality, budgeting knowledge and familiarity with personnel complexities.
