PARKS COMMITTEE VACANCY AS OF June 1, 2023. Application available below under related documents.
(A) Purpose. To work with the City of Jacksonville Parks Department to discuss and recommend needs for parks owned by the City to the City Council. The committee will send the recommendations to the City Council through the Council Liaison associated with this committee.
(B) Composition and meeting frequency. Parks and Visitors Services committee will have six members. There shall be five voting members at large and one Council Liaison who is a non-voting member. This committee may meet a minimum of four times per year; once in each quarter.
(C) Qualifications. An interest in the matter, living within the City limits of Jacksonville is not a requirement of this committee. An applicant who lives outside the City limits may be appointed at the Mayor’s discretion.
