Public Safety Committee

(A)  Purpose: To advise City Council of actual or potential public safety concerns within the City of Jacksonville. They will also serve as an advisory and appeal board for the Fire Protection Surcharge fees. The committee will send the recommendations to the City Council through the Council Liaison associated with this committee.

(B)  Composition and meeting frequency:  There shall be six members of which five are voting members at large and one is a Council Liaison who is a non-voting member. A quorum is three voting members.  This committee may at times be inactive.

(C)  Qualifications: Interest in the matter and residence within the City limits of Jacksonville.
